Rick Boaz
Rick Boaz is a guy who has been involved in slow-pitch softball since 1976. His career as player-manager of Garvey’s Blackhearts started in 1984 and continues to this day. Teams he played with include: Big Daddy’s Dugout, Scoreboard Cardinals, Stadium Liquor, Garvey’s Blackhearts, Thurmer’s and the AT&T Eliminators
In addition to several final four appearances in the St Louis Muny League as well as the St Louis County League, Rick’s squad won back-to-back St Louis Muny Championships in 1997 & 1998. He also added a St Louis County Championship in 1997. Which we believe is the only team in history to have accomplished that feat.
